Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before getting started with MindCova.

How does booking work?

Booking on MindCova takes four simple steps: find a practitioner who matches your language and background, open their profile, choose an available slot from the calendar, and sign in or create an account. Your booking is confirmed immediately and you will receive an email with a Google Meet link for your video session.

Is my data safe?

Yes. MindCova stores and processes all data exclusively within the EU — in the AWS eu-central-1 region (Frankfurt). Psychological health data is classified as special-category personal data under GDPR Article 9 and is handled with the highest level of protection: encrypted at rest, encrypted in transit, and with full access audit logging. Your data is never shared with third parties or processed outside the EU.

What languages are sessions available in?

The platform interface is currently available in German and English. The language of a session itself depends on your chosen psychologist — not the interface language. Many of our practitioners are Farsi-speaking and specifically serve Iranian immigrants. The languages each psychologist offers sessions in are listed on their individual profile.

What happens if I miss a session?

If you are unable to attend a booked session, please contact your psychologist directly through the platform to discuss rescheduling.

How is MindCova different from a regular therapy directory?

Most therapy directories match you by postcode and insurance — cultural background and the experience of immigration are an afterthought. MindCova puts cultural understanding at the centre: our psychologists are selected specifically for their experience working with immigrants and expats. They do not just speak your language — they understand what it means to live between two worlds. For people in the DACH region seeking psychological support that truly gets where they come from.
